This past Sunday was Reconciliation Sunday; a day for us to spend time listening to the stories of some of our indigenous brothers and sisters, as well as time spent praying for healing, reconciliation and revival in the indigenous communities across Canada.

Pastor Bruce Brown of the PAOC shared his experiences as a residential school survivor, which you can watch here

We wore orange to voice our support for the indigenous communities and promoted some resources for those who want to learn more, such as the BC government app, 'Reconciliation: A Starting Point' and Bob Joseph's book, '21 Things to Know About the Indian Act.' We donated $250 to Tsow-Tun Le Lum Society, a local substance abuse and trauma treatment centre run by and for the indigenous community and handed out specially-designed bookmarks intended to act as a prayer token, a reminder that the journey of reconciliation is just starting.

We invite YOU to join us in praying for and learning more about the indigenous communities in Canada.
