Favourite thing about living here:

My paths to the beach: through beautiful forest trails, across creeks and bridges, past local and independently-owned shops and restaurants, vistas along the way, and emerging at one of the most scenic and beautiful ocean beaches in the world. Need I say more?

Favourite thing about working here:

It's impossible not to first and foremost talk about what a warm and generous group of people this is. I'm not alone in saying that people really take care of each other in this church.

On a secondary note, the interior space of our building really is quite unique both in its history and current setup. Most new people who walk in are surprised at how open, spacious, bright, and inviting this space is. I love hanging out here!

When I'm not working:

I have a small and (very) humble writing career on the side which you can learn about HERE, and a recent book. Other than that:

CrossFit, softball, garage-saling and thrift store shopping, family time, hiking and exploring new places, studying the local history and geography of BC and Vancouver Island, and listening to and researching obscure Christian bands of the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. And I have 4 young kids so realistically that's most of my not working time!

Favourite Local Eats:

Thai Smile, Pho anywhere anytime, Bailey's (veggie sandwich w/ West Coast muffin), and Salt Pizzeria (Diavolo or Triple Threat pizzas)
