Are you looking to help flood victims, but not sure how?

Our family network of churches (PAOC) is actively involved with churches and organizations in impacted areas. We are collaborating to transport essential supplies, blankets, freeze-dried foods, water, and personal items for real-time distribution through our churches. You can help those in the most severely affected areas (such as Merritt, Hope, and others) who have lost their homes and belongings or are without power, supplies, and adequate resources right now and are isolated. 100% of donations will go directly to emergency relief efforts.

Thanks for your help church!

You can give here.

Read the full statement from the BC & Yukon PAOC below:

Dear Friends,

By now most of you have heard about the devastating results of heavy rains and flooding in certain parts of our Province. Rivers have been overflowing their banks, dykes have been breached, and mudslides have caused road closures; stranding motorists for days without food, shelter, and water. Rescue crews are actively searching through debris along the Hope-Merritt corridor. Tragically, at least one person thus far has lost their life due to a mudslide. We invite your concerted prayers for these families and individuals who have experienced great loss.

The most severely affected regions in our Province have been without power, supplies, and adequate resources for several days.  Low lying areas of Merritt, Hope, Agassiz, Princeton, Chilliwack, and Abbotsford have been isolated for days due to highway closures. Thousands of people have lost their homes and personal belongings due to flood damage in the neighborhoods. The entire population of Merritt was evacuated due to the failure of their city’s sewer system.

Our district network is actively involved with local PAOC churches and leaders in the most affected areas, neighboring regional churches, our Provincial Government, and the Emergency Response and Development Organization of the PAOC (ERDO).  Christian Life Assembly in Langley and Hope City Church in Edmonton are collaborating with our district office to transport essential supplies, blankets, freeze-dried foods, water, and personal items for real-time distribution through our churches in Kamloops and West Kelowna.

We invite you to consider praying over the essential relief strategies outlined above and making a donation. Your donations will be received and forwarded in their entirety for our emergency relief efforts.

I am truly grateful for your prayers and partnership in loving the precious people of BC and the Yukon. Our hope is deeply rooted in the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea.”

We’re better together.
