Coffee & Connect is a weekly gathering for those members of our church community who are 55+ to socialize and make connections. Weekly gatherings for the fall begin on Wed. Sept. 23rd at 10am!

You're invited to attend our next newcomers event. Come meet other newcomers and get to know our team. A light lunch will be provided as well as a special welcome gift!

Navigating the holidays in the midst of the grieving process can be difficult. In these times, it is important to know that you are not alone, and that there is support available. A special GriefShare - Surviving the Holidays seminar will be held on October 8th at Shelley Hall.

Oceanside Community Church will be offering a 13 week GriefShare course, 6-8pm Thursdays, starting October 22nd. This will be held offsite at the Shelly Hall Centre in Parksville.

Through a video, discussion, and personal workbook, this weekly group will help you walk through the difficult challenge of grieving. We'd love to support and encourage you.

We want to invite women who have experienced pregnancy loss to join us for a 4-week peer support group—a safe, caring, and Christ-centred space to share, listen, pray, and walk alongside one another.

Our hope is that each woman will find a place where she feels heard, supported, cared for, and reminded that she is not alone.

The group will meet on Oct. 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 1:30-2:30pm.

Please register in advance as spaces will be limited.

Preteens from grades 5-7: It's fall kickoff time! Join us this coming Sunday night at 6pm. It's going to be a blast! Two things you can do to prepare:

1. Invite your friends!

2. Memorize Matthew 22:37-39.

Youth Fall Retreat is a weekend away for students in Grade 8-12 to unplug from technology, recharge their souls, and connect with God and other students. This retreat is hosted by the BC/Yukon District of the PAOC in partnership with Vancouver Island Youth Pastors.

Ladies: September is the time we start planning the year ahead in Women’s Ministry.

We are currently in need of volunteers for:

• Oct 17 Men’s Breakfast - we are looking for anyone who loves to cook or help out in the kitchen.
• Our annual Christmas Event and Card Writing Campaign. 

Other ideas being discussed are a book club, Bible studies, and a retreat. Also, save the date for a Nov 7th Women’s Breakfast.
