On Saturday, February 24th, a team from Oceanside Community Church participated in the 10th annual Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) walk in Qualicum Beach. This annual event raises funds for organizations that help to support and fill in gaps for those who are experiencing homelessness and addiction. Funds raised through the CNOY walk remain in the community and support local programs.

The Oceanside edition of CNOY supports the Island Crisis Care Society, which is one of the organizations that our church has supported through our missions & outreach efforts; most recently with our Christmas Giving Project.

This year, a team captained by Phil and Bonny and made up of some of our life group members (The Frozen Chosen24) successfully raised over $3,000 towards this initiative! Together with almost 300 other walkers, over $115,000 was raised for ICCS.

Well done, Team! Thank you for caring for our community and putting your time, energy and effort into this initiative. A big thank you as well to all who donated! This is a great way to remind us how to be the hands and feet of Jesus!
